My least favorite thing about working from home is when my husband asks me some variation of "What are you going to do today?" or "What did you do today?" When he asks me this I imagine all sorts of inflection, undertone and attitude and I immediately burst into flames.
I do things. I do a lot of things. I sometimes don't work as much as I'd like, however, because I'm busy doing all of those things that keep our house from being condemned. That really is the biggest problem with working from home - being distracted by a tumbleweed of Labrador hair rolling past me at the computer and the next thing I know I have no good answer to this question at the end of the day.
Perhaps a uniform is in order. Just so everyone knows what time it is. Just for the record, the kids are out of school for the summer, so don't even think about asking me this question for the next two months.
